CHICAGO TOY & GAME FAIR

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

While the educational value of toys and games have always been a focus of the Chicago Toy & Game Fair, formal educational programs were added in 2006 to a chorus of applause. Due to their huge success, they are now a permanent part of the Fair.

Educator's Forum

The Educator's Forum is an approved Illinois Certified Professional Development Unit (CPDU) provider. This forum provides professional development seminars on how and why to use games in the curriculum. Professional educators, parent educators, administrators, librarians, future educators and anyone interested in education are all invited to attend.

Geography WorldBee

The Geography WorldBee is an annual event at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair. Many games use maps as game boards. We want to test all that geographical knowledge in a last-person-standing WorldBee! Open to kids in grades 4 -8.

Young Inventor Challenge

The Chicago Toy & Game Fair brings together imagination, play and inventive thinking in our annual Young Inventor Challenge! Students age 18 and younger may enter original game and toy inventions to be judged by popular vote. Top toy and game industry and media representatives will provide ad- vice and recognition and encourage all young inventors to dream big and Discover Play!
