Building Off the Success of the Young Inventor Challenge,
Inventors 8-22 Years Old Are Invited to Showcase Original Tech Inventions
at Chicago Toy & Game Fair
CHICAGO (October 25th, 2016) ― The Chicago Toy & Game Group announces that registration is open for the first-ever Young Tech Challenge, now through November 6, 2016. The Young Tech Challenge, presented by Spin Master, invites inventors from the ages of 8 to 22 years to bring together imagination, play and tech to create a playful tech product. Contest entrants will showcase their original tech ideas “science fair style” to a panel of play industry experts on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair (ChiTAG). ChiTAG, the largest toy and game fair in the U.S. that is open to the public, returns to Chicago’s Navy Pier on Saturday, November 19, 2016 and Sunday, November 20, 2016.
Submissions for the Young Tech Challenge can be built on any platform and will be evaluated on originality, technical difficulty, presentation and creativity. Judges will select a winner for three age groups: 8-13 years, 14-18 years, and 19-22 years. Winners will be announced at 4:00pm on Sunday, November 20, 2016.
In addition to cash prizes, some incredible high-tech toys are up for grabs courtesy of Spin Master, including the Spy Gear Spy Go Action Camera, Meccano Meccasaur, Air Hogs® Helix Sentinel Drone, Hatchimals and Hedbanz Electronic.
The judging panel features a lineup of industry professionals including Dan Klitsner, Founder of KID Group, Warren Tuttle, President of the United Inventors Association, Robin Raskin, Founder & President of Living in Digital Times, Ken Perera, Account Executive at Devbridge Group and many more.

Registration is open until November 1, 2016. There is no fee to enter, and it is easy to participate. Participants and their immediate families will also be given complimentary tickets to the ChiTAG Fair for the entire weekend.
