2025 Global Brand Licensing Industry Study - Why it is Important

Hi Maura, thank you for answering a few questions for us today. The last time I saw you was at Spielwarenmesse's Nuremberg Toy Fair Toy Night and you were soaked to the bone. We won't go into that story this time. Please share what do you do in our industry?
I am the President of Licensing International, the leading trade association for the $369+ billion global brand licensing industry. At Licensing International, we provide resources to the industry to support them as they extend their reach and evolve their strategies in a fast-changing marketplace.

Through this all, brands must not lose sight of another challenge – understanding the significant transformation taking place around brand influence. A key takeaway, for example, from a global survey conducted by Public Relations Global Network (PRGN) on influence indicates that evolving customer expectations and the rise of social media and influencers are driving this change.
The survey reveals some interesting insights including that influence, once treated as a by-product of visibility, has become the metric that defines long-term relevance. The shift is being driven by rising expectations and a growing demand for authenticity. Read More...
