Young Inventor Challenge®
Regional Events

The mission of the Young Inventor Challenge® (YIC) is to inspire

the next generation of innovators.

WHO

Young Inventor Challenge® Regional Events completed before October 1 annually are prime opportunities for summer camps, libraries, schools, clubs, youth organizations, independent toy stores, and more to add to their offerings!

WHAT

Hundreds of kids get the opportunity to participate in regional Young Inventor Challenge® (YIC) contests hosted year-round because of your organizations - summer camps, independent toy stores, schools, clubs, and more! These unique events allow kids to get a head start on their toy and game creations for participation in the Young Inventor Challenge® International Championship in November.

WHERE & WHEN

The YIC is an opportunity for kids to develop and pitch their original toy and game inventions to YOU. Hosts of a YIC Regional Event provide kids the opportunity to design, develop, and ultimately pitch their invention to you and select a winner(s) to participate in the Young Inventor Challenge® International Championship.

The Young Inventor Challenge® International Championship occurs annually in November where kids receive professional critiques from toy industry experts and the possibility to have their toy or game published! Learn more.

HOW

We welcome groups, clubs, schools, and others to sign up to host a Young Inventor Challenge® Regional Event. Contact info@chitag.com for more information!

People of Play will provide resources to plan and execute your unique YIC Regional Event. There is a nominal participation fee of $25 per event you host which will cover the cost of submission to the Young Inventor Challenge® International Championship and provide you with materials to help plan and promote your event.

Over 10,000 'kidpreneurs' have entered the YIC in the past 10 years with the support of regional events!

Thank you to our 2023 YIC Ambassadors!
