Young Inventor Challenge®
Regional Events
The mission of the Young Inventor Challenge® (YIC) is to inspire
the next generation of innovators.
WHO
Young Inventor Challenge® Regional Events completed before mid-October annually are prime opportunities for summer camps, libraries, schools, clubs, youth organizations, independent toy stores, and more to add to their offerings!
Over 10,000 'kidpreneurs' have entered the YIC in the past 10 years with the support of regional events!
WHAT
Hundreds of kids get the opportunity to participate in regional Young Inventor Challenge® (YIC) contests hosted year-round because of your organizations - summer camps, independent toy stores, schools, clubs, and more! These unique events allow kids to get a head start on their toy and game creations for participation in the Young Inventor Challenge® International Championship in November.
THANK YOU TO OUR YIC AMBASSADORS!
WHERE & WHEN
The YIC is an opportunity for kids to develop and pitch their original toy and game inventions and ideas to YOU. Hosts of a YIC Regional Event provide kids the opportunity to learn about the design and development of toys and games. Kids can even pitch their invention to you and you can select a winner(s) to participate in the Young Inventor Challenge® International Championship.
The Young Inventor Challenge® International Championship occurs annually in November at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair where kids receive professional critiques from toy industry experts and the possibility to have their toy or game published! Kids do NOT have to be present to pitch or to win/chance to have their toy or game published. Learn more.
