Ivan Moscovich - Survivor, Inventor, Artist and Inspiration

(Ivan & Anitta Moscovich with Educational Insights' Robot Face Race) Ivan Moscovich is known by many descriptors—a survivor, an inventor, an artist, and an inspiration, to name a few. When I talk to many who know Ivan, however, a friend is how they describe him most fondly, with a smile. Ivan has led a remarkable life. While only a teenager, he was taken from his home in Yugoslavia and imprisoned in five concentration camps—including Auschwitz—where he faced unbelievable physical hardships and unimaginable emotional strife, which, despite Ivan’s will to persevere, have tormented him throughout the years that followed his liberation. He acknowledges in his published memoir, The Puzzleman, tha

Nina Hahn - Heart, Fart and Smart

WHAT DO YOU DO IN THE INDUSTRY? For the better part of 20+ years I have consistently been able to tell my kids that I have the best kids content job at Nickelodeon ever -- every day I get to go to work and look for really great projects, with really great people, from every corner of the world and under every rock imaginable. It's a really fun way to work because it keeps you young, makes you happy, and most of all inspires you to build and develop content that resonates emotionally with kids around the world. Basically, it's equal parts heart, fart, smart every day! WHAT'S YOUR WORKSPACE SET UP LIKE? I suppose there's no actual "set up" - and that's what makes it so much fun. I work in a

What do you do in the industry? I design board games. What is your claim to fame in the industry? My first game, Wingspan, made quite a splash upon its release, including a feature article in the New York Times. Its official retail release was in March 2019, but it sold out immediately. Several more print runs are on the way. Why and how did you get into the Toy and Game industry? I had been playing hobby board games for years but was dissatisfied with how so many of the most popular games stick in just a few lanes for their themes: fantasy, science fiction, trains, historical trading routes in the Mediterranean. I decided to make a game about something I’m actually interested in. What are y
