What do you do in the industry?

Founder and CEO of Far Out Toys. I started the company in the spirit of creating opportunity. We’re all about creating the most innovative products and approach in the industry we love. We strive to be the best possible partner to our retailers, licensors and inventors. We’re a small company, but not small-minded and fundamentally believe you don’t have to be the biggest to be the best.

We’re aggressively growing our multiple brand line-up for 2020, including expanding our Crash Racers line and forging into new categories. Stay tuned for more news at New York Toy Fair!

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

There’s nothing like creating from a clean sheet of paper and carrying that through all the way to seeing your product excite and delight kids. It is the story of FOT, we have built this business from the ground up. Our NASCAR Adventure Force Crash Racers set is a great example. At the Walmart Top Rated by Kids event, and at NASCAR tracks around the country, we’ve had a chance to see boys and girls bouncing off the walls with energy because they’re having so much fun racing and crashing those cars!

The toy industry has changed dramatically post Toy R Us – but not in all negative ways. The evolving dynamic of how retailers and suppliers are working together is creating opportunities for companies like Far Out Toys – who focus on agility, innovation, and partnerships – to succeed beyond expectations.
